Jazz meets Mambo – warsztaty, na których odkryjemy związek między vernacular jazz a rytmami latynoskimi. Wychodząc od muzyki latin jazz, łączącej swingowe brzmienia z afro-kubańskimi wzorcami rytmicznymi, zanurzymy się w krokach Mambo – stylu tańca, który narodził się głównie w słynnej sali Palladium Ballroom w Nowym Jorku.
Na zajęciach nauczymy się krótkiej choreografii złożonej z klasycznych kroków Mambo, pokazując, jak blisko są one związane z vernacular jazz i jak inspirujące mogą być dla tancerzy wszystkich stylów.

Jazz meets Mambo – a workshop in which we explore the connection between vernacular jazz and Latin rhythms. Starting from the Latin jazz music, which combines swinging vibes with Afro-Cuban rhythmic patterns, we'll dive into the moves of Mambo – a style of dance developed mainly in the famous Palladium Ballroom in New York.
In the class we will do a short choreography including classic Mambo moves, showing how closely they relate to vernacular jazz, and how inspiring they can be to dancers of all styles.
